Starter issues
Having issues with my starter motor. Truck is an 86 f250 I6 motor 2wd manual trans. All wiring is good battery is charged. Old motor just took a crap. Replaced it with a reman and now it doesnt want to turn the motor over.. Is it because of it being a reman? Should I look for a new factory starter ?

Assume nothing about the present starter system. The system may have previously been marginal, but still able to spin a tired engine adequately. Notice I keep saying starter system. That includes the battery, cables, and starter relay, not just the starter itself.
And before Dave chimes in, the test as linked above disables the ignition system for troubleshooting, so you'd know right away if excess ignition advance is the problem...

I read it as his starter stopped working so he got a re-man starter motor and not it does not turn the engine over.
I think all engines but the 460 have 1 starter for autos & 1 for sticks maybe you got the wrong one?
Time to start testing cables or just replace them if old as you can not look at them to tell if bad or not.
On my 81 the ground goes from battery to a bolt holding the starter on but the cable has a tab about half way down that goes to the frame to ground the frame also.
Could use 2 cables - 1 from battery to frame and the other from frame to starter bolt.
There is also a 8ga wire from the left side of head / engine to firewall and this grounds the body.
You can run more grounds if you want as it would not hurt.
Battery POS to starter relay / from relay to starter.
