Building a 2020 F350 CCSB 6.7 platinum. When I add the snow plow prep package, it takes away upfitter switches. Does Snow plow prep include the switches? If I don't select snow plow prep what front springs am I going to end up with?
Im also selecting Supplemental Rapid Heat which gives me the 397 amp alternator, not sure if that figures into snow plow prep on the 2020s
I tried for the hell of it. What's weird is the snow plow prep says it includes a 200a alternator, that doesn't seem to be right. I think it must be a glitch

I noticed the same thing. I have a 2002 F450 Limited on order with the supplemental heater which includes the 397A alternators and the snow plow prep. The upfitter switches are included in the Limit package. Everything shows up OK on my window sticker. There must be a programming problem on the built site.
I wonder if that's why my dealer can't duplicate what I built with my X Plan. Nothing fancy, 350 XLT, Regular cab, 7.3, 4x4 and other various normal options. I bring all the X plan paperwork to the dealer and leave it there for him to find all the codes, etc. that goes into him building the truck order. He calls me several hours later and sez their system won't allow the FX4 package...it's pushing back, saying no skid plates on the 140 inch wheelbase...their system wants one of the bigger wheelbases. He's saying he thinks it's a computer glitch. He seems to think that if I can build it on the Xplan, he should be able to build it for real in the Ford system. I explained that NOT having the FX4 package is not an option...I won't order the truck without it. He and the dealership general manager said they will get ahold of Ford and keep me posted. Computer glitch???

You want the bed stickers that bad? The FX4 doesn't include anything special. The up charge is a 15.00 button on that 400.00 option.

That was my reaction too. Holding out for an almost worthless package? That's nuts. I didn't want the extra weight of the skid plates dragging down my cargo capacity.

You're kinda missing the point. Whether I want the option or not isn't the issue. The issue was noted by the OP....conflicting options. I'm wondering if that's my issue too. My 2013 has the option, I want the 2020 to have the same and according to my X plan build, it can be built...yet the Ford computer seems to say no.
The FX4 package seems to offer a little more than just decals.....Just sayin' .

Hill descent control
Rancho front and rear shocks
Transfer case and fuel tank skid plates
FX4 off-road box
Yeah, you glossed over that I specifically pointed out that I didn't want the skid plates that are part of the FX/4 package. The skid plates can be added separately, without the FX/4 package, if you really want them. The shocks aren't worth a crap - they aren't real Rancho shocks like say the the Rancho 9000XL series shocks. The descent control - which is the truck using the brakes to keep the speed down - can be added as a DIY project for very little money.
I don't plan to take my F-350 into off-road situations where a skid plate might be needed. These trucks are sufficiently tall and have a lot of clearance. If you need a skid plate for your gas tank you might want to rethink where you're going. The only situation that caused me to consider the skid plates was road debris.
If the FX/4 package can't be added then maybe there is another package that is blocking it. However, I can't think of a package that would block it, unless maybe the Tremor package/option/trim was selected.

Im ordering an F-350 for work. Government spec Reg cab 8' bed, 4x4 with 7.3, 4.30 rears. Basic XL. Im not big on the FX4 but I do like the protection of the skid plates. The dealer entered my order while on the phone with me. It spit the skids out for me as well.
My take was the Reg cab with the 7.3 might not fit the standard skids.
This sounds like a programming error (bug in software). I went on the Ford build site and it allowed me to build a F350 reg. cab, long bed with FX4. I am attaching the 2020 Super Duty Order Guide. It doesn't show any restrictions for FX4. It is useful as it also contains the option codes.

The Rancho branded shocks were deleted. Again you get the skid plates which are available for 100.00 separately and you get the hill descent control which is able to be installed on any truck for the cost of the 15.00 factory switch. So that's a 385.00 option for bed decals.
Pulling the relevant portion out of the order guide:
If you have the required parts on your order, then it sounds like a problem with their configuration tool.
Most of the time it's the dealer who isn't selecting the locking rear axle correctly on SRW ( LS on DRW). You have to add the axle first before adding the FX4 package.
