Fog light wireing question

Fog light wireing question
the guy i bought my truck from had the fog lights spliced into the low beams so that they will only work when you have your headlights on. I want to slice them into the parking lights (orange ones) if anybody know what the color the wires are and has any advice on things i would need, please let me know i plan on doing this tomarrow after i get off work. thanks for your help

Mine are the same way. Can't say I know off hand what color wire, but ya should be able to just look at the wires comin' outta the parking lights and go with that.
As far as what you'll need, wire splicer clips, wire cutters/strippers, elec. tape. (and some spare time) I wouldn't think it should be all that difficult. One of these daze I plan on changin' mine around, as soon as I can find some of that 'spare time !! LOL

just run a switch and relay it is not good just to splice into the lo/parking lights it will dim the lights. and may cause you to start blowing fuses. with them on the switch you can turn them when ever you want i would also check what size fuse the parking lights take cause the 55watt fogs will draw 9.1 amps extra from that fuse

I know how to do it on the 95-97's, but not sure on a 91. I will see if I can find out for you.
This is not something the guy before you did - it is a stock feature. There is a way to do it, you just have to know which wires to cut and tie in to.
Like Billy said, DO NOT just run a loop to your parking lights! You will burn out all the wiring and melt your headlight switch...
