probably came down to which supplier they were buying from at the time. Side note: I have never seen a 6 piece - the ones I've seen on ebay and in person have all been 4 piece. But then, I haven't seen it all yet.....
Barry, the backside of the cab has an L bracket where the side and rear meet up. The 4 pieces have the L's built in instead of a seperate piece. Both kinds have the same fronts.
Ceet's right, Barry. The early ones (pre 70) did have the six piece set. The trim sets are easily interchanged for all years. Whatever's in a cab now would seem to be dependent on what the restorer/owner had in good condition on hand.
Sweet. Glad we solved that case. We'll have to get some good installed headliner pictures for you . I would but my trucks being restored as of now. GOOD WORK GUYS!
