power steering
iJ just bought a used 2002 F350 psd crew cab 4x4.at idle when
not moving steering is wheel is very hard to turn,when moving
the truck sterrs normally.has any one else had this problem.truck
has 4" lift and 35's.please help.

I've heard of this problem recently from someone else, and the advice they got, (from a very knowledgeable source), was that it might be the first signs of a power steering pump going out. Another possibility is that the PS fluid itself needs to be replaced. Suction out what you can from the reservoir, and replace it with ATF. Hopefully, that's all it takes.

my truck,2001 f350 4x4 had this problem, with parking places being so small,and the truck being big, i needed to turn it when i backed out of the parking spot while sitting still. It would not do this, i took it back to ford 3 times for this problem. they finally put on a new power brake booster thingy. i am told the power brakes and steering work together. turns good now. i hear this problem is more evident in auto's when your holding the brake on also. mike
