Low milage powerstroke 7.3 vs IDI 7.3

Option 1: I found a 1994 7.3 IDI turbo with 150k on the motor, 289k on everything else. 2 hours away and in Good shape. Asking $4500, can probably pick it up for 4k or a little less.

Option 2: Found a 95 7.3 powerstroke with only 110k miles on everything. 4k firm.... It's 7hrs away and has some surface rust on the roof and hood.

Both are supercab longbeds. Both seem to be in good working condition. The sellers are sending a video of them running, picture of the odometer and the VIN. I plan to use my new truck 2 days a week and will put less than 5k miles on it a year.

I like the idea of the IDI being easier to work on.... But I can't get over the low milage of the powerstroke. I want the OBS, I know the super duty has its perks but my budget is low. Don't plan to do any "aftermarket upgrades", but I do want to (very slowly) restore the truck. Hopefully I can keep either one I choose for the foreseeable future.

I need advice what would you do, and why? Don't really need any more power than either of these trucks offer. I have a 16ft dual axel job trailer and may get an 18ft car hauler in the future, but won't pull often. I'm leaning towards the powerstroke because of the miliage, but prior to this find was pretty much sold on the IDI due to affordable injectors.

95 is the one to go with. Multiple years for parts should you need them. Of course you will have to address the rust since it will only get worse.

Is either truck 4x4? If so, go with that one.

The PSD will be more fun to drive. If you've never driven an IDI think... school bus.

I had a '94 F-350 Supercab dually with the 7.3 IDI turbo. Much more power than the non-turbo 7.3. Good thing about those engines was that they were mechanical and no computers. Decent power but not as much as a Powerstroke.
