Thanks folks for all your comments re firing order change, carb and timing order issues! I have another issue to post and will do-so
as soon as I can figure out how to make a new post.
Glad you found a result Phil. I would imagine you would start a new post similar to the way you started this one. Are you using a computer or phone? Either way go to the general discussion page either at the top or the bottomThere will be a Blue banner that says new post or new thread. Good luck
Russ
Thanks broktruck! Last knight I couldn't seem to spot the new post utility button and still can't this morning so I'll do it in this reply.
Also, I'm having trouble with my carb leaking. I bought a kit off ebay and I can't get the primary metering block to seal. The gasket
is not treated cork like OE but is some kind of paper with what looks like enamel on one side. I have to keep retightening the
the screws and that makes me nervous.
Do any of you good folks recognize this component?
It's fastened to the firewall directly behind the air cleaner and has the same blue color as one of the valves in the air damper system.
That's what I'm working on now to try and cure the cold natured symptoms. It has only one port and I believe it may be some kind
of vacuum bleed off device. Maybe something that allows the damper dashpot to return to normally open? There's only one wire
and it's disconnected. I can't imagine what would trigger it electrically. I have the OE manual set, and it shows the components of the
damper system but not this one. Any help?
