drilling. hole?

Any issues with drilling a new pin hole and moving the hitch back, closer to the truck another 2-3"? I have clearance behind and it wont hit the spare tire.

I have done that many times works good. I never did understand why so many manufacturers left the draw bar so long.

Be pretty easy for your trailer to tag the rear bumper or tail light if you shorten that up. Or I guess that depends on your specific trailer too.

I went the opposite and got a longer shank. This way I have a little more space for tight turns without impacting with the bumper and can lower my tailgate without it touching the tongue jack on my trailer.
