alright, after my long awaited cam swap i have devoloped a severe rough idle. i figured it might be a vacuum leak since the TB, EGR and intake gaskets weren't replaced (i know i know i shoulda). but i have since changed the TB and EGR and it did help how it idled but now its doing it again. the intake gasket is good and no leaks from there so could it be the cam conflicting with the computer? or could it be the IAC? the truck idles very rough and seems like it wants to stall and sometimes (more then less) it'll stall when i drop it into drive or reverse. any ideas?? it did stall out on me once n a while before the cam swap when i dropped it into gear so im leaning towards the IAC and thinkin the cam swap just confused it more? i dunno but im gettin frustrated as it did it to me 4 times today...
Have you tried getting any codes? I hate to mention this as I am not entirely convinced of the procedure, have you disconnected the battery cable just to see if you can get the computer to reset itself. Its free so why not try it huh? I would pull the codes though. Later

After any change ( adj timing or adding k&n drop in ) you should disconnect batery for an hour. I did when making the previous adjustments and the trucks running noticably improved and seemed to regain a bit more fuel mileage. Give it a try, as the man said, it is free.
Depending on the cam used it can affect idle. Past hotrodders who used a lot of overlap had a rough idle and often problems creating enough vacuum. Check for potential vacuum leaks, sounds sorta like a lean running condition.
the battery was disconnect during the whole cam swap...and im sure there isnt a vacuum leak. i replaced the TB and EGR gasket and it ran much better and a week or so later it was doin it again...seems like when i shift into give (drive or reverse) it revs down really low and then catches itself but sometimes it doesnt and it stalls...
