Auto shift collar indicator and brake light issues
Hi guys, new to this site, all the way from Cornwall in the UK with my 1970 ford f250 that just arrived from Colorado. Just trying to fix the column shifter but need a new shift collar. My original one had the little orange indicator built in. The parts sourcing companies over here only seem to get hold of the ones with the separate plastic indicator and the collar with the slot in it. Will these still fit my truck ok?
Also another issue, brake lights don't work at all, the emergency flasher still works but only when the brake lamp switch is disconnected otherwise they're on solid and not flashing. If I put a multimeter to the connections for the brake lamp switch, there's no power to it at all except when the emergency flashers are switched on and then the voltmeter is reading a fluctuating voltage as the lights flash. Anyone got any ideas?
