03 F150 4.2 4X Standard cab, long bed
Just bought the optional cruise control kit I plan(ed) to do myself--imagine my surprise when I opened the box and saw a heck of a lot more than I thought...!
Anyway, being realistic, am I biting off more than I can chew or is it simply following the steps? (I can the very basic stuff--oil change, alternator, even install a stereo).
The directions refer to the manual--anyway/anyone have one online I can take a gander at? I may need it for pulling the steering column apart.
THis is an OEM. Looks real nice (if I can get it installed!!) Oh, and this was the cheapest site for this product that I found. Most go for well over 370.
There are quite a few after market versions--some use electric some use vacuum. I have looked at some at www.pepboys.com and www.jegs.com.
Marc have you had any luck with the install yet?
I havent installed cruise in anything in a long time but the old ones had good instructions that were easy to follow.
