After too many problems with the old grain bed, I found an older drop side military bed for her. Just sitting on the frame for now, I hope to soon have it mounted and dumping soon.
HEY you stole my idea!
I have the same style 14' bed from a 5 ton 6x6 I'm going to put on my F-800, have a complete hoist from another bed with bad rails to use on this one.
Once installed we'll remove the drop sides and make up a set of grain dump style sides.
Trucks a semi tractor now so we'll have to stretch the frame a couple of feet first.
I like the idea of the drop sides, unload pallets or what ever from the sides, back, or dump it. So many options. Stake pockets are in the sides, would that work for a way to add sides for grain?

Well, I finally installed the rebuilt starter, rebuilt the carb, and got the choke cable, throttle cable, and PTO cables lubed up. Lucy now starts up quickly and runs around the yard, I can easily get her in and out of the barn. Still, she steers hard, I hope a good lube job in the next couple of days will help that out. Next step is to get the drop side bed fully mounted and an appropriate bumper welded on. Then tackle the rear lights, (there are none), and the ignition switch figured out. The PO ran a new wire from the battery positive post to a switch that controls power to the coil.. Oh, got the brakes working properly now too.

That is a nice looking truck please keep the updates coming !!
Working on the front fenders now, I have the passenger side, done and remounted, just have to build and install the rear lower fender mount. Driver side is almost ready to mount. I also want to make a quick release, of some sort, for the battery side cover. I want to be able to get to the battery easier then unscrewing four machine screws.
