So, I called Terry's f-100 parts today and sad news he has no one to make the coe steps.he wants to sell the fiberglass molds and get out of that part of the business. Good start to a new business if anyone is interested?
Andy:
Glassman Bruce made my steps while he worked for Terry. Someone should buy the molds and pay Bruce to make them. Did Terry say how much he wanted for the molds? Terry is a great guy and will not do you wrong.
Happy New Year!

I think I bought the last set Terry had made. He was talking about selling the business. He's a good guy. If he sells it, I hope the new owner continues on with good service.
Honestly, it's going to have to be one of us guys who would take this up solely for the love of the trucks.
I can't conceive how a guy could break even selling popped plastic steps for mid fifty C series Fords.
Maybe as a springboard into a wider array of fiberglass offerings? => diversification.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't just spend 5-10 minutes here staring at my screen, swallowing butterflies, and playing the process out in my mind.
But seriously, how many of us are wanting, AND WILLING, to cough the cash appropriate for what these have, and would necessarily cost?
the # I retrieve from memory was $600 / pair?
kicking the tires on viability,

JML:
An interesting start to the thought process. The steps were right around $600.00, and they are perfect, much stronger than the originals.
Aside from the cost of the molds, who has the skill to make and finish the steps, and how much would they have to be paid to be fairly compensated for their time?
I think I paid a fair price for the steps, and did not subsidize the initial making of the molds. It seems that the best bet would be to convince an existing fiberglass supplier to buy the molds and have a few orders in hand to convince them to make the leap. I tried to marshal up a few orders here and was successful enough to convince Terry to have Bruce make them.
I have to agree, at first it sounded like a lot.But considering how far gone my steps are and how good the glass ones look it's not a bad price and it would save a lot of work. And yes he has other molds, like flip front ends and roof tops.
So I came back and re-read the posts about the fiberglass steps - I totally spaced on the fact that it was the entire fiberglass offering Terry was aimed to sell. Now I’m playing out logistics and capital.

Maybe we can figure out something. If I could get orders for 2-3 sets maybe I could make that happen. My # is 308-850-8524. Thanks Glassmanbruce
Thanks Bruce, sorry I haven't been on lately but I got laid off so money has been I little tight. And work on the truck has been slow. I'm still interested in the steps but it just won't be for a bit.Although it hasn't been a total stand still. And it can yard drive now.
