06 6.0 alternator issues
I have an 06 f250 that I bought and replaced the alternator because it was humming koeo. I put the new alternator on from auto dump and charged fine and the next morning my batts were dead. I charged them and found with the engine off key on or off that with the pigtail plugged into the back of the alternator it would drain my batts. I just unplugged the alt when I shut the truck off and the batts were fine. I ordered a new alt from lawdog and installed it and I hooked it up and plugged in the pigtail last and it started humming with koeo. I started it and it was charging fine but when I turned the engine off it would hum until I unplugged the pigtail. That alt is on its way back so they can send me a new one. In the meantime I brought the other one back to autozone and got a new one. I hooked everything up no humming started the truck and the alternator is not charging. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
