Adaptive Steering Issue

Hello Everyone.
My 2019 F250 with 21k on it has developed an adaptive steering problem.
It started intermittently over the past 3 months. Upon start up there would be
a warning in the screen between the gauges. In the past 2 weeks it became more
frequent to now being permanent. Took the truck to the dealer where I purchased it.
They uploaded some new software from a service bulletin but it did not fix it. I am waiting
to hear from the dealer on what the factory says. Any thoughts guys?

Although I haven’t had this issue, I remember reading on here that a low battery will cause issues with the adaptive steering. Some forum members ended up replacing their batteries, and that seemed to solve the issue. Seems to be very sensitive to battery voltage. Might be worth a check?

Break out $400 for new batteries. That will fix it.
voltage is slightly too low for the sensor to calibrate properly when the truck starts.

so glad i don't have AS.

Do you have a lift kit as well?

Im going to say the fella with the 5” lift doesnt have ASteering problems from the batteries but rather something was done wrong with the lift.

apples & oranges. But he said new batteries wont fix it. He is probably dealing with a different problem with similar symptoms. its a lift problem causing AS problems.

OP most likely has a battery problem causing AS problems.

Was at the dealer today. They ordered a new steering wheel and other parts.
Hopefully it will be completed by mid next week. I will keep everyone posted.

correcting the speedometer via forscan or a hypertech inline module did not fix the issue either
