I have a 03 F250 Super Cab. Does anyone have an issue with the doors squeaking and creaking (very lightly). I have tried lubricating the gaskets but it doesn't really help. Anyone know of any concerns or fixes.
From: I'm lost somewhere in NJ -- can someone please find me?!?!?!?
I remeber a thread some time ago about how to adjust the doors so they will close tightly. Might warrant a search of the SD forum...
Also, what kind of lubricant did you use? I've been know to use some spray Silicone lube from time to time, but I don't really have a pronounced problem I'm trying to resolve, rather doing some preventative maintenance. Guys with squeaky gaskets have done well with something called (I think) door ease.

My '03 Ex has the same problem Rick - tried the NAPA SylGlide or whatever it was, but didn't help at alll...
My dirvers side rear door is just flexing and moving - will 'suggest' to the dealer this time that they fix it....
Third time I've asked for this fix...
hey rick, i have a '03 F250 SC and the rear driver side door has been squeeking since the weather has become cooler. there have been recent threads in the past regaurding this problem. someone had suggested a product, i dont recall what it was, i think Door Ease or something to that effect. it should still be in these pages somewhere. i havent tried anything yet, but if you find something that does the trick let me know. good luck and safe truckin'
Friction tape works pretty good as well...
Just look along the edges of the door where you can see rub marks or where th paint is rubbing and just put some strips along there. Used it on my dad's F-250 Supercab with sucess.
There is a detailed method of adjusting the door striker to allow the doors to be pulled in tighter when closed to cinch up on the gasket. Search the forums and it will pop up. It will be easy to find since many other's s/c doors squeak. Heck, the doors on my crew squeak. I tried everything. I tightened my strikers and that helped for a while, but the gaskets are starting to wear in to the new position and are squeaking again. I just went ahead and bought some tubular self adhesive door gasket from JC WHitney and put on the two front doors (teh rears dont squeak!) from about the door lock height up to where the door starts to curve towards the front. This tightened up the seal and the squeak is gone! I took mine to the dealer three times and each time they said they could not hear it. I say B.S.! I read another post where the dealer replaced all door gaskets. I guess it depends on the dealer. BTW, mine went to two different dealers for this problem and they both said there was no problem. Obviously there is a problem. I am thinking the rubber may be a harder....or softer compound since my '97 F-150 never made a squeak. I just don't think Ford wants to replace so many millions of gaskets that are sealing fine....but justy squeaking.
I went to Home depot and bought waterproof clear tape 2" wide i think, cut it into 1" strips and installed it inside where the door meets all the weatherstripping. it solved my problem for almost a year now. tried silicone spray but it must wash off after a carwash or rainstorm so I needed to try something else. good luck
I tried the Door-Ease, didn't help. Had mine at dealer 2 weeks ago and they sprayed on a silicone door sealer. 3 applications letting it dry in between. So far this is the longest lasting fix, except for when they replaced the door seals completely, which last for 2 months before they started squeaking again. Your Ford dealer should stock the spray.
I just use a thin film of clear dielectric grease rubbed onto the gaskets with a clean rag. You have to reapply it about every 3 to 4 months but it works great and is cheap. I can tell when it's time to reapply when I start hearing some door noise on rough roads.
