they have a larger displacement unit - 1.5 Liter. 181 horsepower and 190 torque.
Indeed. My 2018 Fusion SE has the 1.5 EB engine. Definitely, fuel efficient. However, I'd prefer the 2.0 EB and it's not much worse than the 1.5 EB on fuel.
The 1.0L was used in the Fiesta and I believe now the Ecosport. It seems that the 1.5L finds most of it's duty in the Escape, I wasn't aware that Ford uses it in the Fusion.
I saw this today and it blew my mind.
that is awesome.
not offered in a truck, yeah, I know.
there is just something way killer about "1L ecoboost"
thats crazy I still cant get over it
I bought my 1.0 fiesta back in 15’. This vehicle has been very solid and dependable. On long interstate trips I can get right around 50 mpg but city mpg is closer to 30. It’s such a blast to drive, has diesel like torque. It was only paired with the 5speed and that it why it never sold good here in the states.

sister in-law has a 2013 fusion se 1.5 eco boost 4 cylinder, 32 mpg, only regular maintenance, no engine issues ever and is at 150,000 miles now, only repairs have been a rear wheel bearing and brakes/tires
your sister in law needs to know that those ecoboost engines I believe have a "wet belt" setup. instead of a timing chain they have an oil exposed timing belt that needs to be changed at 150k.
