I need door panels for my 1978 f 100
Im thinking of getting them thru jeffs bronco graveyard nit wanted to check if theres somewhere else i should be looking? Maybe Lmc truck?? Wondering if they're about same quality
If you plan on painting them then I'd recommend getting the factory seconds from dennis carpenter, they're cheaper. I bought a pair a while back and plan on painting them to match the interior of my Bronco whenever I get around to redoing it.
Honestly, if they both came like the marbled orange one I got I would probably leave them that way and repaint my Bronco orange. I think it looks cool and it's a lot more orange than the picture would have you believe. Looks pretty reddish in the pic.
I purchased the dennis carpenter door panels through bronco graveyard and I am very happy with the quality. My truck had some other aftermarket door panels put on in the 90's, I think from JC Whitney but not sure. The DC ones are far better.
Got mine from LMC Truck, quality wasn't great. They are thin and feel brittle. The tabs that go under metal cups on the arm rests came off of the door panels when I tried to install the panels. They were glued on not part of the panel. Pockets for the panel retainer clips were also glued onto the panels, not a molded in part like the stock panels.
