1995 f250 engine stalls
Hello I have a friend who has a 1995 ford xl p/u with a 351 v-8 with the e40 od trans sometimes when put into gear which drive or reverse the engine just dies imeadeatly.sometimes when switching from either drive or reverse to neutral the engine almost wants to stall for a brief moment but than returns to idle,also when you successfully get it to drive or reverse without it stalling the second you release the brake and begin to roll without even touching the gas the engine always stalls.any ideas what it could possibly be he has just had the trans rebuilt and also had replaced the trans selector switch at the transmission would appreciate any input of what it could possibly be thanks also forgot to mention this is a calif vehicle if it makes a difference.thanks

1995 f250 engine stalls
I had an `87 S-10 blazer that did the same thing, turned out to be corroded battery cables from the battery to starter/alternator and to the engine blocks ground, cost about $20 and cured a big time headache, mine would never get into gear at all, but ran fine in park.
