Here's a snippet of the, while not Rangers, 1964 trucks equipped with bucket seats. The XL package. I xxx'ed out the last portion of the one VIN in keeping with the finders wishes.
I can confirm all of the above. I can't confirm all of the trucks on the 1965 and 1966 lists myself since a couple of them Michelle came up with before I got involved. I do have pictures of the plates for a lot of them. Do you want to see those lists, too? I'd have to xxx out some of them as well.
V81:V = Red crinkle vinyl and red rosette pattern vinyl - Bucket Seats// 81 = 81B Custom Cab (with Ranger package).
It has these options: dealer installed a/c (although the compressor mount and brackets are from a T-bird) // power steering.
Rotunda A/C bezel has the switches (8) in the center between the registers (O): O O 8 O O. The other bezel (same as Mustang) has the registers (O) and switches (o) thus: O o O O o O
Some of the V8 A/C "mount and drive" parts are the same as Galaxie, some are the same as Thunderbird. AFAIK, there is no specific to F100/250 parts.
This truck has the correct 6 blade 18 1/2" fan (C6MY-8600-B - w/o a fan clutch) also used on Galaxie/LTD/full sized Mercs.
This truck has a horn button, installed by a previous owner, because it originally came w/a horn ring.

Not sure what you mean by "mount and drive" parts??
The dealer installed A/C engine kits (C6TZ-19B969-E for the 352) used Mapco kits (183 for the 352), also sold by Sears. These dealer A/C kits were available for trucks through the '71 model year. The compressor mounting bracket was made from steel and welded together. Although the kit included the A/C pulley, it did not include the compressor. I was fortunate enough to find an NOS D1TZ version of the V8 kit which included the instructions. The condenser/receiver drier assembly was part of the companion Master A/C kit that included the hoses and evaporator (C6TZ 19B968-?) The truck Master Parts Catalog instructs the dealer that both kits are required to install A/C. Having said that, there was nothing to prevent a dealer from deviating from the kits and installing parts from another car line.

First use of the Ranger name, but this wasn't a FoMoCo related name, because it was an aftermarket conversion:
Marmon-Herrington and the Siebert Body Co. converted a few 1951/52 F1 Panel Trucks to 4WD, added windows and a second row seat, calling it a Ranger.
----------------
First official FoMoCo Ranger: Ranger was the cheapest 1958/59 Edsel, was the only Edsel model in 1960.
F100/250 Ranger introduced in 1965.
btw: This 1959 Edsel appears to be a Corsair, not a Ranger.
Here's the list of 1965 Rangers that I have so far. While the first four do not decode as a Ranger - Michelle and/or I did see pictures of them and felt they are very early models that were before they started marking them with a Ranger specific Body code. I can share pictures of at least two of them if anyone is interested in those. Those first four are all 4 digit DSO as you can see. I've seen the one with the 74 Sales Office (Fourth one in this list) in person. Since no officially known Rangers pre-date those 4 that I know of, I suspect that was true.
Interesting things of note. One was a 300, one was a 240 and the rest in this list are 352.
Other than the first 4 that are DSO - 3 others are DSO with a blank * Color code and one with a Color code (3178)
One F101 and 4 F250s.
Michelle doesn't have some of the information on Axles - I've filled in anywhere I could from pictures I've seen of actual warranty plates.
