I have a rust free one left over from my 56, in this rust belt it might be worth it should be worth $400 to 500? By the time parts arrive here from the US they close to double the price and shipping cost on over sized items is crazy expensive.

Hey Donald! Good to hear from you. Since the Mother In Law has developed full-blown old timers I don't travel to Lebanon too often anymore. In fact, I believe that the last time I was there was when I met you at the SuperNats...while I was at the show she locked the house door and didn't come home for over 4 hours. Those were the times that I wished I still drank!
The wife gets into Lebanon on 12/10, she is picking me up at the airport on the afternoon of the 12th. We plan to stay in Franklin or Brentwood for two nights while we look at properties and then I am leaving the evening of the 14th. The family has been trying to help but they keep finding these 1100 sqft houses out in the sticks for us..."price is right you know". We'll get it worked out next month, it would be nice to get together for lunch while we are there if you have the time. As for parts, I do have a load that I need to decide about...in fact I still have a couple of pairs of 56 doors!

Time to close this thread with some good news...we just signed a sales contract for a nice home in Brentwood, TN. Not a place where I can do a lot of truck work outside the confines of the 3-car garage but there is room for a lift and I should be able to make it work. Escrow closes at the end of March so the wife and I will probably drive one of the vehicles back there at that time. Not looking forward to the move but happy to be moving.

Glad you found a home and it's all working out for you. The good news is you'll be close enough to the F-100 Nationals by May to make the trip.

Charlie,
Congrats on the upcoming change of address. I agree that the move is the hard part. I moved to Maine 26 years ago. At that time I had 6 antique vehicles plus lots of parts, tools and a Bridgeport Mill and Metal lathe. Fortunately in my case it was a company move, however, I had to move just after Christmas and could not build a new barn/shop due to lots of snow and frozen ground. I had cars, parts etc stored in multiple locations for 6 months. It was all worthwhile in the end.
