Is this a front hub or a rear hub? If a front hub, there are THREE different types:

With SRW (single rear wheels) and 5200 lbs. rear axle capacity // With SRW and 7400 lbs. rear axle capacity /// With DRW (Dual Rear Wheels).

SRW: AXLE code stamped on the Warranty Plate, (P350/500) riveted to the right side of the radiator support. Post what the code is, or take a pic of the plate and post it.

is it possible for a machine shop to fix it?...I read about people knurling it and then press in the race with red hi temp loctite

This is what the truck parts catalog listed for the location of the above Warranty Plate.
P35 = P350.

B = 300 1V I-6.

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

S11009 = 1973.

122" Wheelbase.

P350, 8000 lbs. GVWR

00 = Refer to body maker.

A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

No AXLE code

8,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

15 = Newark NJ Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the P350 from.

Since there's no AXLE code, there's no way to discover what the rear axle weight capacity is. All I can do is list both of the hubs.

B7J-1104-A .. Front Hub - Right/Left is the same ~ 1957/76 P350/P400 - use with 5,200 lbs. rear axle capacity & single rear wheels / Obsolete

C7TZ-1104-D .. Front Hub - Right/Left is the same ~ 1967/76 P350/P400 - use with 7400 lbs. rear axle capacity and single rear wheels / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either of these hubs NOS, there are none on ebay.

Note: The brake drums are specific to one hub or the other, but the brake shoes are the same, so I suspect one of these hubs has a different number of studs than the other.

But the parts catalog doesn't list this info. But it does list the specs for the lug studs & nuts. B7J-1104-A lug studs use 1/2" -20 nuts // C7TZ-1104-D lug studs use 9/16" -18 nuts.

btw: CA resident: Your P350 is a long way from NJ, so where in CA do you live? I might know of a source for the hub here in LA LA Land.

There's a truck wrecking yard in Los Angeles that may have it, but they'd need to see the original to match it up.

Problem is, they aren't open on weekends and the traffic where this yard is located is just awful during the week. And they're not close to any freeways either, so it's surface streets, miles of them.

SoCal Truck Wrecking // 8229 S. Alameda St // Los Angeles 90001 // 323-587-3144 ask for Marty. This yard is just north of the former Firestone tire plant @ Firestone & Alameda.

Some of the T/O bearings have a zerk fitting, some do not. Originally they all did, but Ford later replaced the zerk with a rubber plug, then eliminated the threaded zerk hole. No hole, no zerk.

If the T/O bearing is the original or a replacement from an auto parts store, it may have a rubber plug or a zerk.

I found the pic of the hydraulic clutch related parts, but it doesn't show the T/O bearing.
