FORScan help
I have a 97 that I'm going to tinker with too. Has anyone else messed with this gen 150 on FORScan?
are there any other options to fix the speedo? Is it worth buying a programmer?
I've got FORScan running on my laptop (Win7) updated to the latest version and got the extended license.
Now I can read/clear the codes. I can see pages of data about my truck, but I have not been able to make any changes. Any changes I make in the "As Built" section have no effect. Anything I change in the other section tells me "No changes in block ******, skipped". It only gives me the RAP and GEM modules and only one line each.
Changes I would like to make.
Tire size - I upgraded my tires from the stock 255/75R17 to 315/75R16 now my speedometer is off 5+ mph. Which means my mileage, and in turn my mpg.
Delete the seat belt ding!
Yeah I have a few problems, also it is throwing a bunch of codes that are just annoying...
- less than 2 transmitters programmed
- battery voltage is fine (new alternator/battery) but GEM B1318
- apparently I have a problem with my transfer case
- I get a short in the heater circuit when I run more than 150 miles/day
Diagnostics shows my odometer at 327k miles but my dash only shows 203k
