what do your spool valves look like? I sanded (sorry, don´t know the right word) these, then they ran again.
If FICM and harness are ok, you in the USA have companies that can test HEUI injectors. We here in Merkel-Germany are not able to do that, I want to build something myself to check if a defective injector was really defective. It is always bad to exchange and not to know if the exchanged parts were really defective.
So I swapped out the FICM with another off a running truck, Did The same thing ran for about 20 minutes then started to misfire. Shut it off and only had maybe 1 or 2 injectors buzzing. Definitely have a stiction issue going on. Maybe oil contamination? Let the vehicle sit for a couple days and the spool valves freed up by themselves. Maybe changing oil again and adding some of this stiction additive i'm seeing ?
What does injector buzz have to do with stiction? I thought the buzz was merely the solenoid getting power.

Damn man, you sure do put a lot of effort into testing! That is definitely a European mindset, but then most Americans these days don't know their way around a box of hand tools, let alone machine tools. Good on you. Keep it up.
I believe the word you were looking for is "polished", btw.
Guys say they are made out of some very hard metal and 600-1000 grit cloth cleans varnish off? I don’t know.
hartwig I have a full set of new spool valves and solenoids. I will message you info if you are interested.
We had a division that made hydraulic pumps, controls and landing gear (Abex-Dennison). I got to visit one day. Hardened to not wear, and the spool valve tolerances were at 0.0002" if I remember correctly. Controlled leakage as they would say.
The company got sold off after a few years of my career with the company, Dennison is now part of Parker Hannifin, the parent of Racor.
As I believe Sean and Mark have pointed out, a later change to the spool valves was to increase leakage to prevent the hysteresis we can stiction.
I might look into polishing them, i'm down for anything at this point. This thing has been racking my brain. Do you guys think I can have an oil contamination problem? Even though the oil is brand new from when i did the head gaskets. I used the 10W-30 bulk diesel oil that we carry at out shop
