67 5 window navy pick-up
I just got a 67 5 window Econoline pick-up. Looking for the door vin plate I discovered it has a Navy plate. The color is red not blue/gray like most I have seen. Can anyone tell me how rare this is? Should it be restored or can I build it my way?

I have seen three or four over the last ten years, but I hang out with Falcon guys, not the Econoline group.
I think that the Navy bought quite a few, but survival rate is low.

Is there another plate affixed to the dash or on the door face? If there is, it's not related to FoMoCo, it would be US Gov't related.
US Navy trucks were painted sea gray, not red. Post a pic of the Warranty Plate or type all the codes.

Enter the door plate data at www.econoline.org and add the Navy numbers in the Notes section. That website will tell you what all the numbers mean.
