My shocks have had it. I have been looking for some new shocks but thought I would reach out to those experienced with heavy trucks to see what works best.
Go check out Rockauto. They have a TON of different options for your truck. SummitRacing would also. I was just on Rockauto and they had Bilsteins, Monroe, Motorcraft, KYBs, etc.
I am partial to the Rancho RS9000XL on these trucks. Being able to adjust the ride feel you want by turning the **** at the base is really nice.
Good luck in your hunt!
Matt
Same "style" of shock as the Bilstein (or a FOX) but we don't charge it as high and different valving that has been well received.
Our warranty and ride guarantee info too! Limited Lifetime Warranty / 90-Day Risk-Free Ride Offer

I've normally buy NAPA premium straight hydraulic shocks for all my trucks since my first one in 1978. I've tried the others and really couldn't tell much difference other than in my wallet. I have found for the best ride and handling I change them at 35K to 40K. Can't tell normally if they are bad before I change them but man can you tell a difference after.
Not a bad rule of thumb. In general, 50,000 miles is the "recommend" time frame, but the way you do it, you will notice the difference too.

I put the yellow...though I sprayed them with gray bed liner material...Monroe gas units on my F350 4x4 CC LB back in 2005 or so. I recently replaced them again a couple years back...they have a lifetime warranty from the local O'riley parts store. My truck does have an extra leaf in the front end that stiffens and picks it up. Yes the truck rides stiff, but it's a big heavy 4x4 truck! For smooth rides I jump in the wife's Excursion. For that truck...it's a 2wd...I always put a variable rate shock on it, like the Monroe Reflex.
