Hi all! Just bought a 1978 F150 custom, 2 wheel drive. Has been parked for the last 2 years. I just briefly started it to verify it run. I know I need to change all the fluids to start with. I've been reading everything I can from the forums. What a wealth of information from all you!
Congrats on your truck and welcome to FTE! It sounds like you've been creeping around here for a little while haha. Post some pics of the ol girl and some of your plans to do with it. Any questions be sure to ask, most of all have fun and enjoy the labor of love she'll give you
She's rough. But I love it!! And yes I've been lurking for a month or so. The information is truly amazing and I'm trying to absorb as much as possible!!
Welcome and thanks for the photos. As you know, the forum is a great source of information. If you plan on keeping and working on the truck yourself, you could get a set of truck shop manuals for the correct year. When you put in engine oil, be sure to get one that accommodates the flat lifters. It should be a great project. Best wishes.
It would also be nice to have an owner's manual.

Reason: added information
The few times I drove through PA up 81 N, when I was younger, I would always get a kick out of that sign when I would see "WELCOME TO PENNSYLVANIA, AMERICA STARTS HERE." hehe
