hello I am new to this site and I am looking for help on getting parts for a 1992 f350 flatbed I have. I am not 100% clear on what years I can use for interchangeable parts as I am hoping to go to the salvage yard today as this could be our last nice day here for some time, thanks in advance.
Most salvage yards these days use software that tells them which parts will interchange, and the ones that don’t usually have at least one grumpy or witty old man working there that’s been picking parts for so long he’s got the list memorized.
I am looking mostly for interior parts and didn't want to go to the salvage yard if they didn't even have the years of vehicle I could use. the one salvage yard closest to me that was very good closed and hasn't reopened so I am going to an unfamiliar one
Many parts from 80-96/7 interchange. Seats included. Interior dash trim will have to come from a 92-96/7. Doors from 80-96 interchange. Interior trim panels can be used from the 80-91 trucks but won't match what you have.
80-96 bronco and f150
80-97 F250 and F350 (except light duty 97 f250)
87-97 F-superduty
Some econoline parts also swap, mainly engine parts like brackets, but also some interior switches and such.
