New guy here

But my truck is getting old.
When I bought my F350 new in 95 I thought to myself that this could possibly be my last truck.
Well it is now officially an antique and I have been kinda looking at new tow rigs.
When I get honest with myself I realize that the only thing I dislike about my 144,000 mile 25 year old pick up are the rear view mirrors.
So I think I will try and save 60 or 80 thou and search out some good electric mirrors that will work on my rig.
I tow with a later motorhome that has powered mirrors and like that I can tilt down and look at the trailer tires, or turn out to look for clearance while backing rather than looking at the side of the trailer.

Any of you guys have any ideas for me?

just add a large adjustable convex mirror to the bottom of your current mirror. those let you not only see a wider range of traffic on each side of you, but you can also see your rear tires at the same time.

my 2011 f350 has them built into the stock tow mirrors. that portion of the mirror is not powered; just manually push the mirror to adjust it, but once you have it set, you’ll probably never need to adjust it again.

Thanks for that idea, but I don't like the convex mirrors.
One of the first things I did when the rig was new was to have flat glass put in the passenger side mirror.
Cant judge distance with convex.

Thank you for the welcome,
Yes, I saw these on Ebay, but they are vague about the wiring involved and don't say if these fit in the original mounting holes.
I don't have any problems with the wiring, but don't really want to drill any new holes in the doors.
Maybe they will have a tech guy at LMC that will know.
This is a very pristine pick up that I have pampered since new and its already killing me to go away from stock original with this mirror idea. So, I consider this a safety issue, at least that's my excuse for now.
I am already having kids follow me around wanting to buy it.
I think in ten more years I should be able to get my money back.
Thanks again
