I've done bratwurst on my ATV. But nothing on the 6.7L. When I was a kid my dad did a roast on the engine of his International Harvester Travelall. We all thought he was nuts, but after a while you could smell it cooking and our hunger got the best of us and it wasn't bad.
I'll stick with this. It gets better mileage and will run on just about anything (unleaded, 2-cycle, kerosene, diesel, white gas, JP-8).
Besides, I'm sure bacon grease is hard to remove from the engine compartment.
Not vehicle manifold cooking but... For the bulk of my working career, I worked in a factory where we had a zinc die casting department. The "pots" on die casting machines ran in the 800F range. The guys that worked in that department were known to "cook" on the pot's guards from time to time. During deer season venison tenderloin was frequent fare. The smell would waft throughout that end of the plant. Good stuff!
