this one is 12.8” and looks better than what they did in the explorer. The explorers screen just looks out of place and stuck on there. I really hope when the 150/super duty’s get the large screen it looks better than the explorer

Me too, the Explorer screen placement is kinda odd.

Yuck. Not a fan of the bigger screens. The RAM screen looks gaudy and the new Explorer isn't much better. The RAM with the smaller screen actually looks better than the top trims with that tablet slapped in the dash. This can be said for any of the 10"+ screens that automakers are putting in the center stack these days. The current 8" screen looks fine and integrates well with nearly any interior.
Aftermarket also exists for those who want it. I’m sure by next year, there will be choices and refinements.
I don’t care for the aftermarket offerings, I don’t see the aftermarket units playing well with the factory stuff, our trucks are so integrated it isn’t even funny!! Too bad you couldn’t load the sync software onto the aftermarket units.
Bigger is better, so they say.
I don’t mind it as long as there are buttons to use. Looks modern.
But playing on a google screen isn’t a draw for me.
I can agree, I honestly rarely touch my screen now. I do most of it from the steering wheel. But we all know ford is going to have to do it to keep people who like shiny screens going to dodge.

I've been looking at these for a long time now. But they have a lot of bad reviews. People complain about how slow they are.......etc. For me, I'm not dropping that kind of money on something that is questionable. I hope ford offers something like this in a superduty as a factory option in the future.

I read the same thing. Compatibility issues..
I would imagine that the big screens will sport improved technology and refinement within a year or two, and be more user friendly for those looking for one.
