Looks like there is going to be a little wheeling on Nov 2 up at Tuttle Creek-- All are welcome! Garden Syder and myself are going-- Usually a great time. Probably get supper afterward.
We should be there, just have to work out the car trailer logistics with the local rental place. They close Saturday afternoon and aren't open Sundays so trying to return on Saturday nights is a pain.
Can't wait though, been waaay too long since I was able to shift the TJ into 4WD
I'm thinking about replacing my old winch with a new 12,000 lb one from Harbor Freight. They have good ratings, reviews and I've witnessed the use of one. It worked so much better than mine. Hopefully I can get that done here in the next few weeks.
That will be cool! you might have to pull me out of somewhere!!
Looks like I may not get my new winch in time, but that is OK, my current one still works, it just sounds crunchy, like there are metal bits in the planetary gears.. Plus... I have only used it like three or 4 times in all of the time I have owned the Jeep.
I have a car trailer reserved to pickup Friday evening, but I have to have it back to Abilene by 5 PM on Saturday. Sucks that I'll have to start loading up around 3 or so, but at least I still get to go! I'm really excited, just need to check some fluids and get the driveshaft\belly skid back on and I'm ready to roll.
Thanks for the offer! I think it would only bump up my wheeling time by a couple of hours, so I I'll just rent the one here in Abilene. Thanks again though, I really appreciate the option.
Is 9 too early to meet up? I know some Chad has a bit more of a drive compared to me.
