I NEED TO KNOW IF A FRONT BUMPER FROM AN 93 AND UP F-150 WORK FOR MY 87 F-150.....I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THE BODY WILL LOOK OK OR IF IT WILL EVEN WORK AT ALL......I NEED INFO QUICK AS POSSABLE....I NEED TO SEE PICS IF POSSABLE...I KNOW THAT I WILL NEED TO MAKE CUSTOM BRACKETS......
It will bolt up if yuo use the entire front clip. Th headlights and front clip of the 92-96 are totally different from that of the 87-91. If I am wrong onthis guys, give me a hand.
But I don't think it will work. For one reason the bumper is taller than the 87-91 models (if I am not mistaken anyway)
Best way to find out is measure your truck, and then measure the other truck you are getting the bumper from.

You would need to make some modifications. The late 80's model bumper bolts straight to the frame rail by bumper clips. The 92' and newer bumper clips bolt to a pair of flanges (angle brackets) that are welded to the inside of each frame rail. It can be done but it would take a little enginuity and a probably a welder for the angle brackets. There may be a slight gap between the grill area and the inside of the front part of the bumper since the front of the truck is straight across and the newer bumper is curved at each end. Good luck. Jake.
Hotrod, No problemo'. I have rigged up several trucks with plows in the past, (swapping the same plow rig from old to new), and have seen the difference first hand. There is always a change to be made somewhere alonge the line when doing this. That's where the welder and tourches come into play. I have seen several early 80's model trucks with 90's bumpers installed on them. They turn out pretty cool since the front body curve of the older truck is very similar to the newer bumper. Jake.
