Vin info needed!! Thanks
So, slowly getting the info from mom on my dads 65 ford 350. And here is the VIN if someone give me more info on it.

Just wondering if the manual trans was part of the original build or was it after.

D is a 352 2V
R is made in San Jose
the six numbers are the serial number which should also equate to 1965
The door tag should tell things like tranny, rearend, and interior

D = 352 2V
R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
699433 = 1965.
Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch. Post a pic of it or type the codes.

Once I get the truck out of the semi trailer this summer. I will get all the numbers off of it. And get pictures of it.

No 460 in F100/350 until 1973. No 460 with a manual transmission until 1983.
There are TWO different 460 engines, one is internal balance, the other is external balance.
The block casting number will determine which type it is. There may be an engine ID tag located on the coil bracket.
