Question carb question

I just rebuilt my carb last night, and I have a couple of quick questions. The carb is a single barrell Carter FYA off of an 83 F-150 w/ 4.9L. The questions that I have concern the Bowl Vent Solenoid and the Choke Heater/Thermostat unit. Neither of these have had power to them since i've owned the pickup (7 years) and I was wondering if it would be wise to take the time to get power to them. If so, can I splice into the Dashpot solenoid power or do I need to run power from some other source. I have a Chilton's manual but the wiring diagrams show neither item. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch and you all are great.

The engine was replaced with a rebuilt two years ago, but I kept the original carb on it. I screwed up on my additional post, it's not the choke thermostat and heater that doesn't have power it's the throttle solenoid/dashpot that doesn't.
