Power Point

Trying to figure out if the 3 cigarette lighters put out the same power as the 2 AC plugs in my 2017 F150.
I need to power up an a portable machine and for some reason the cigarette lighter in the rear did not power up my machine when my car was idling. My machine normally would power up and charge its battery when plugged to DC. The lighter powerpoint works. The oxygen machine works too but failed ti power up when idling. Opinion?

While the 12v outlets are fused for 20amps the outlets themselves can’t handle it and will over heat and melt. Had my back one go bad just from running two coolers at 4 amps each.

Virtually any outlet is rated to run at 80% for a 100% duty cycle because of the heat. So in this case for a constant draw at the 20-amp socket you are limited to 16-amps. The fact that yours overheated at only 4-amps is typical of the contacts being dirty or oxidized.
