Starting stored vehicle during winter?

If you live near a lake or marina, you can usually get ethanol free fuel, which doesn't soak up the moisture. So even if you don't normally run ethanol free during the Summer, it wouldn't hurt to run the tank as dry as you can (or drain it) then fill it with ethanol free. I'm not sure that things like fuel stabilizer are necessary for a few months anymore because i think fuel comes with some stabilizers in it already. I think it really depends on how long you keep it parked. When I lived up North, I'd park them after first snow, which is usually late December, until the roads are clear of salt, which even up in Maine or New Hampshire might be April or May at the latest. Even the new fuel doesn't go rotten in a few months. But I'll let others who might be expert in that area chime in. I never had fuel go bad over a winter on me.
I love living in Georgia now, I never park anything! It gets cold, but snow is rare and they don't salt the roads really anyway.

Shelf life is definitely temperature related, it's going to stay stable and fresh in colder temperatures a lot longer. I'd expect for example the worst situation would be maybe a 1/4 or 1/2 full steel tank, the old school kind vented or open to the atmosphere, truck stored outside, wide temperature swings, and exposed to direct sunlight to suck in lots of humid air at night and condense on the tank walls and run down into the fuel, while at the same time boil off all the "light ends" and volatiles in the fuel during the day.

I'm not going outside let alone run my truck if it is -10° or -20°!!!! Is that Fahrenheit or Celsius? But even -10°C is 14°F. And I won't run my truck when it's 14°F.
