Pulled the trigger

Bought a new Ranger XLT 2 weeks ago. Got it with a locking differential and tow package. I can't believe the power that little 4 banger puts out with the turbos. The ride for a truck seems smooth and I'm pretty comfy in it. I can haul anything that I want in it (if it fits in the bed), and it pulls my trailer well. I hope it holds up as well as my '63.

Nothing really noteworthy. I put a tonneau conver on and a rubber bed floor liner. Come spring time I'd like to spray a bed liner in and maybe look into buying a truck cap. Other than that I'd like to get a trailer brake controller.

Well I've had the truck for about 6 months now and I thought I'd throw my thoughts out there on it. I've Racked up almost 12k miles and I've loved every mile of it.

I think the truck has plenty of power and the mileage is pretty good. I get about 22mpg average 50/50 mix of hilly backroads and highway. Best I've seen is 24mpg all highway at 70. I'm 5'10" and with the driver seat adjusted to me I can sit in the backseat behind it comfortably. I like that the truck rides and feels like a truck. The 4x4 works awesome. I had zero problems on and off road this winter in snow, and it's worked great so far in mud. I thought I would hate the auto start stop, but now that I have it I couldn't imagine going back to a vehicle without it. It really does help with fuel mileage and the truck knows when not to engage it. The Ford Pass connect was simple to setup and seems simple to navigate. The voice controls work great. I could setup my wife's phone too so whenever she takes the truck it connects to her phone. She really enjoys taking the truck out too.

The only things are don't really like about the truck are nit picky. I think it's silly that the door cup holders in the front seat doors are angled forward (unless they aren't cupholders and I've misinterpreted what they're for?). I don't like that there was no option for a trailer brake controller. The truck has a decent towing capacity so why wouldn't that be offered from factory? The only other thing I don't like is the automatic windows seem slow to me. I rode in a friend's colorado and the windows snapped up and down quick compared to the Ranger. Other than those few non serious things I have zero gripes about the truck.

I picked up this tri-fold tonneau cover from gator. I think it was $200 on amazon. Took maybe 10 minutes to install. Comes on and off super easy.

I haven't really had to tow a whole lot with the truck, mostly just motorcycles and lumber. The truck pulls like it's not even there. It'll get a bigger test this summer when I pick up my grandpa's Ford 8N on a 8 hour round trip.

Looks nice and great review! I don't to drive ours much and my wife has only put 6k on it in 7 months. My biggest pet peeve is no memory seats... I will get over it. Otherwise I love it too. Wish I saw more of them on the road.

Thanks for the honest review. I saw one back in March at a dealership out of state that was offering a new 2020 XLT scab 302A FX4 for about $8000 below sticker as its during the lockdown and they were desperate to sell. Unfortunately I wasn't in a position to buy at the time. Plus my state issued very strict lockdown orders as his lordship the governor closed the DMV, banned all vehicle sales public and private, and also closed the state lines to interstate travel except for purposes of going to/from work.
