2011-16 vs 2017-up

For those of you who have logged time in both generations, how do they compare? I know there are some sweet technology upgrades on the newer ones, but are there things that you thought were better on the previous steel trucks? I’m trying to decide on getting a new one, or sticking it out with my 16 (which I really like) for a while.

I owned a 2012 F250 CCSB with the 6.7 and put 50,000 miles on it. Then upgraded to a 2015 F350 CCLB with the 6.7 and put 83,000 miles on it. Just upgraded to a 2019 F350 CCLB DRW with the 6.7 and have just under 1,000 miles on it. All 3 have been Lariat trim levels, but the options have increased in each upgrade. My new truck is fully loaded and I am still learning of new things it can do. I will be loading my slide in camper on it in a few weeks and it will also tow our 10,000 lb travel trailer, boat or utility trailer with tractor in it. I am very happy with each upgrade. The only thing I miss from my last 2 trucks is that the trip display for fuel now doesn't show how many gallons used.... That is a small thing, trust me, I am amazed by the rest of the truck! My wife fought us getting a DRW, but now loves it and the ride is amazing for a truck of it's capabilities.
I chose to get a 2019 as the platform is tried and true and the new 2020 may have some issues to work out. I also got a super deal and great trade in on my last truck.

Much more leg room in the back seat and a more rigid, less jiggly frame are two of many big benefits of the 2017+. The frame benefit is especially noticable on the longer configurations.
