Yea, my 450 has zero bump steer. I think its a clue that rotating the tires at 5,000 miles made a difference. Not sure what it means other than Ill probably be dumping the Michelins before they are worn out.
Bump Steer is where Suspension compresses or extends from Big Dips in the road at highway speed, not necessarily rough places or angled bridges & the steering / tracking bar geometry pushes or pulls the drag link making it steer one way or the other.
I have a 2019 F-350 4x4 6.7l diesel CCLB with just over 15,000 miles on it. I recently experienced what I interpret to have been a mild case of Sustained Steering Wheel Oscillation or Death Wobble. Due to my education about this problem, primarily through this forum, I immediately knew what was happening and was able to slow the vehicle quickly and mitigate the steering wheel oscillation before it exacerbated and became serious. I had the truck serviced at a dealership in Tucson, AZ where they replaced the STEERING STABILIZER.
I have much more to tell about SSWO/DW and the work done to correct the problem; I will post this information shortly so that SD owners can benefit (if this very important thread isn’t buried 10 pages deep by the moderator). I’m writing this message to see if someone knows how to get the text of TSB 19-2274. This is the updated TSB for correction of SSWO/DW, issued in September 2019 superseding the previous TSB 18-2268. I searched the Internet in vain.
