Hey guys I am losing coolant out of my passenger side rear wheel well area. It's up high on one of the "conduits". What do I need to do or what it going to cost me?
Most likely is the line going to the rear heater vents. If they are original, they are probably rotting out and need to be replaced. Otherwise, maybe just the fittings need to be tightened
Probably the heater core for the rear heat leaking. $30-45 on Rock Auto for after market. $94 for a Motorcraft. Check the hose connections first, maybe you'll be lucky and just need to tighten a clamp.
I forgot, heater core is in the same place on all engine offerings. Move some parts, drain coolant from radiator drain, cut both hoses with razor knife as close to the back of the fittings as possible, remove quick connects from heater core nipples, put stainless worm clamps on hoses, slide over heater core nipples, tighten clamps, refill coolant.
