I have a 2019 Lariat Crewcab and am looking for a good location to mount a flashlight holder. I was thinking to mount it to the side of the drivers side seat base but the electric seat goes to far down for that to work. Next option is the drivers side door panel but don't know how to get the door panel off without breaking something. What have any of you done for mounting a flashlight and how can I safely remove the door panel??? Flashlight is a newer Maglight 3 D Cell LED and I have some spring steel clips similar to the plastic ones from Maglight to hold the flashlight.
Depends on the size, I have my Fenix cliped to the pen holder on the inside lid of the console.
This is a pretty big flashlight. Measures 13 inches long with a diameter of 2 and 1/4 inches at the light end and 1 and 1/2 inches at the battery tube. With the batteries installed must weight a pound or two.
I have found the perfect spot for a flashlight(multi-cell) is right between the seat pedestal and the console. Works both in my super duty’s and in my Ram.
Doesn’t rattle, doesn't slip around.....just stays put.
Never had an issue
I was looking for a spot for my 3D Maglite as well and ended putting it in the console, it snaps right in and is tight so it doesn't rattle or anything.
Probably a helpful thread for you anyway, so the forum gods had a purpose in choosing to fail uploads right now...
Probably should have mentioned I have a Lariat without a console but the fold down seat in the middle which really limits my options but does allow my wife or dog to sit next to me while driving. Just to be clear so I don't get in trouble I prefer the wife over the dog.

Well that does complicate things a bit then!!!!! 😂
