Why go through all that work just for looks? You still need a blow through carb or a carb box, an oil supply, exhaust work.
What year Mustang are you working on?
Mustang II NEVER had a 351W or anything bigger than the 302 that really didn't fit that well.
Because it sounds fun and its doing something I've never done before. It's more excited than slapping a basic mustang together again. I want to make a little boost but nothing extreme. I dont race, I just like to screw around with cars on my free time. The car is a 73 fastback. One of the most undesirable mustang's. I know nothing about a Mustang II, The old lady said that's what it came out of. Anyways I haven't read up much on a boxed In carbs yet. Mainly blow through. The forums on using a PS turbo on a gas engine is very interesting. Some people say no, some say yes, some say maybe, some say a little. What are your opinions? What would be a better approach for what I'm trying to do? Boxed in or a hat blow through type? And if you have any info on that turbo by looking at it would be nice too.
Mustang II didn't appear until 1974 or 75. 1973 would have a 351C in it. And with open chambered heads which aren't really suited to boost applications as they're detonation prone.
