According to one web site they state that the said exhaust system will not work with the factory rear sway bar. What are my options then? I like the split rear but is there a way I can get it to work?
im not too familiar with that setup, but you could just get a universal gibson muffler and have a muffler shop add pipes, or you could get the whole system and "maybe" a muffler shop could modify it.
Most people have to modify headers with a hammer. Any disclaimers by the manufacturer/seller help to avoid customer dissatisfaction. That doesn't mean that the systems won't work with a lttle persuation. Most split dual exhaust for 4x4 say that you have to relocate the spare tire. I'm curious as to the difference in spare tire location for 4x2 and 4x4 trucks. I have 98 F250LD 4x4 and also want dual exhaust but may just go with both on one side.
I just got my exhaust plans the other day 88 F-150 4x4. Off the manafold to the Y. On the V part of the Y is cut so 2 pipes fit in, And leaving the sensor still at the front. the closest way to get true duals with the sensor. The 2 pipes run along the pasenger side. 1 goes over the axel and exits out the pasenger side behind wheel. The other cuts across to the drivers side before axel and then over and out behind wheel. If I took the spare tire out both would go over axel and split where tire should be and out each side. Its also harder to run when you have duel fuel tanks which my 4x4 does, So they say take the spare out to make it easier.
