Ok guys i know the hei discussion goes back and forth depending on your stance. Me, i am going to run a hei on my 66 352 because it is easier to run with my fitech efi. That being said i was wandering if anyone has ever used one of the corrected hei caps on a fe motor. The firing order is essentially the same just reversed as most of us know. Will the corrected caps work is my question? I think it would make the engine bay look much better and would be a nice conversation piece at shows. Thanks in advance.

Which electronic distributor are you asking about, Ford EEC or an aftermarket?
I think you are talking about something similar to the D.U.I. cross fire cap, where the plug wire terminals are moved so the wires are routed down their respective side of the engine.
I have considered running one in the past on a ch*vy. I ended up just making my own plug wires so they were neatly routed with the standard cap. I read about reliability issues with some of the cross over caps. If you make your wires so the are short and neat with one of these non standard caps and run into an issue on the road you either need to carry a spare cap or be ready to buy a cap and wires. In my opinion the extra cost of the cap, back then they were like $45, just wasn't worth the potential hassle to look cool with the hood up.
Ty for your input and my plan was to carry the factory cap and plug wires in my tool box. I just like to do things differently then others and thought that would be a nice touch. By the way that is exactly what im talking about.
