Engine Brake all the time?

Having driven dodges all my life before this beautiful super duty i have now, we ALWAYS turned the engine brake on as soon as we started the truck. They were known for sticky VGT veins in the turbos and this practice helped keep them clean. Do you need to do this with the Fords as well? Truck only has 1000 miles and Exhaust brake has been on since new, just wondering if its required or suggested. Thanks!

I have been using mine on full every start, towing, not towing, highway, city, country drives. Saves on brakes, can drive in M mode or subtract gears and hardly ever use the brakes. I don’t know it prevents any thing but it does drive better, slow better, when on cruise, it will hold speeds better downhill.

It won't hurt anything, on or off. Use your truck how you'd like it, as long as you enjoy it!
