A service station tank would not be replaced per a Ford TSB... nor would a service station's tank life be measured in terms of miles. The OP said his tank was replaced 2,000 miles ago per the TSB, which effectively rules out any possibility that he could have been referring to the tank underground at the service station.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will look into all of them. My fuel tank was replaced for the TSB regarding the DTE issue on the 34 gallon tanks. I know the tank didn’t sit outside, they ordered it in new and I actually saw it before they installed it. I am 100% certain it came from the fill up, it’s just a matter of getting them to admit it and cover the bill. I’m going to wait before calling to inquire about the claim until I get a final bill to submit.
I don’t have any further information on the truck yet. They’re replacing an entire fuel system on another truck and haven’t fully dove into mine yet. Should have answers tomorrow. If it stays at the minimal repairs I’ve already agreed to, I’ll just pay the bill and try to get something back from the station. If it gets expensive, I’ll make an insurance claim.
