What kind of truck? What's your experience level, how well equipped is your tool box? From whom have you heard these horror stories?

My first plug change on the 2000 Expo 5.4 took about 3 hours because I was being extra cautious. That included checking gap, adding anti-seize, tool and table set-up prior to install. Recently did my F-150 4.6, tools and table were set up, plug gaps were already verified, and ready to install and I'm down to about 10 minutes per plug.

You'll need 7mm socket for COP's, get a 5/8" magnetic extension plug socket (that made the biggest difference in time), extensions and elbows both 1/4" and 3/8", some zip-ties to hold your heater hoses out of the way, dielectric grease for the COP boots. Go to youtube as there are many videos that will walk you through it. If you can turn a wrench, you can do this.

Tape your sockets, extensions, and elbows together so you don't drop any small tools into the valley.

Good Luck!
