So true...in the Project Management discipline we refer to that as "requirements creep".
used to be in computer field, operations and programming and training Once a project started that consisted of one input screen/program that produced one report of the data, in two months it had grown to full blown database system with inquiry capability available on 27 fields of data and sorted and reported in sequence on request of any of those 27 fields. System time and programmer time went thru the roof and THEIR boss screaming about the cost to produce that one report... it was fun. Luckily I had a boss that made us keep detailed data on time and system strokes so our geeky butts were covered...
But now the BIG question John. After all those twists and turns and do-overs and such, can you see the light at the end of the tunnel yet?? Good luck and see you soon, Steve
closer every day, Steve.. gonna bleed one more wheel (had to change out a bleeder screw my "helper" rounded off last time. Then it back on the ground and headed for alignment, exhaust etc

be great to see you
Nailed it!
My timeline looks very similar, except that my line would be sporadically dashed due to long periods of inactivity.
Sounds like mine. Got my truck 32 years ago and it has been called the Backburner Special by some of my friends, due to some long periods of inactivity due to other projects coming along. It jumped track with me after I realized some guy named Bubba must have done all the work on it. And even further off track when I did this.
