New member here about the pull the trigger on a 2020 F350 Supercab 6.7 4x4 longbed order. I have searched and read way too much on this topic with no super clear answer so I figured I would ask for some clarification below....
1. Is there any way to get the plow prep package and upfitter switches w/o dual alternators? (I don’t want them)
2. Assuming no to the above will the heavy service front spring option net me the 6k springs/front end? I have seen a chart floating around here that seemed to point towards CCs and SC longbeds w/ the 6.7 getting the 6k springs regardless of plow prep, heavy svc, or camper pkg long as one of them was selected. End goal for me is 6k springs w/ uppfitter swtiches and NO dual alternators
I’ll pass pulling apart a brand new truck, hoping my question/option #2 is the way to do it. Hopefully someone can confirm the spring rate info on CC/SCLB 4x4 w/ 6.7 and said options because the dealer sure as hell can’t 😂
I've seen varying alternator info, not specific to the 20's, some say that all the 6.7l Super Dutys have two alternators. Based on alternator options in build and price in the past, I wouldn't think it to be true. My truck has dual extra heavy duty alternators, not something I would have chose because I don't see a use for it. Kinda strange, I found this same exact build at 3 different dealerships.

Per the 2019 Ford Spec Guide (yeah, I know below it shows 2018 but the image is from the 2019 Spec Guide), if you order a XL or XLT, it would come with alternator option 67D. One single 220 amp alternator. The one caveat might be if you get Sync 3, you'll get the 110v outlet. That would throw you to 67A. Dual alternators.
Thank you for the alternator info, I have confirmed the dual alternator setup through another chart as well. It’s the up-fitter switches and plow prep combined with the standard ac outlet on my Lariat trim that’s causing the 67A to default.
So the real question is, can anyone confirm spring rates on the ‘19 or ‘20 with a 6.7 CC or SCLB with either one of the 3 suspension options checked: camper pkg, plow prep, or heavy svc?

While I cannot totally confirm it, based on the chart below from the Spec Guide and locating two CCLB F350 diesel Lariats at dealers sites displaying the door jam decal, a truck as mentioned with none of the suspension options comes with 5600lb front springs. When you order the Camper or HD Front Service Pkgs, they give you one spring rate higher front springs on 4x4 models. Isn't the next spring rate up 6000lb? I'm thinking go with the Camper Pkg.
NOTE: The standard front spring/ GAWR on Pickup models is computer selected based on the total front weight of options ordered.
Front spring/GAWR upgrades range from 3800 lbs. to 5250 lbs. (4x2) and 4400 lbs. to 6000 lbs. (4x4). Certain packages include the following front spring/GAWR upgrades:
Heavy service Front Suspension Package and Heavy service Package For Pickup Box Delete — Front springs/ GAWR will be selected 1 upgrade higher than standard computer selection;
Camper Package — Front springs/ GAWR will be selected 2 upgrades higher than standard computer selection on 4x2 models and 1 upgrade higher than standard computer selection on 4x4 models
Snow Plow Package — Front springs/ GAWR is assigned or specifically selected as shown in the chart above. Front spring/ GAWR upgrade is not included if the maximum front spring has been computer selected as a consequence of options ordered.
Those are definitely the charts I used to come up with my question above, hoping they are correct or at least current for the ‘19s. I have been trying to find a SCLB truck online with enough photos to show the GAWR sticker and I’m only finding plow prep trucks 😩 will keep searching to hopefully confirm the supercab standard springs and or heavy svc option.
Someone on this forum ordered a F350 CCLB diesel and the order had 12,400 GVWR. It made it's payload comparable to a gas F350 with 11,500 GVWR. RAM has done the same to their 3500 diesels. Basically upping the diesel trucks GVWR by 800lbs. There's a F250 diesel with 10,800 GVWR too. (The F250 is a Canadian order.)
Contact this dealer asking for a image of the door jam decal. It has what I think you're looking to know. F350, SCLB, Diesel, Lariat, Upfitter switches, No dual alternators, No Snow Plow but has Camper Pkg.
